Phibbie and Fred's Summer Wedding

March 16, 2017  •  Leave a Comment

2016 was a great year for us at PicturesTell. We had the privilege of shooting a number of big weddings and I personally learnt a lot of new technics, built new relationships. Most importantly we were able to serve our clients in the best way.

Phibbie and Fred are one of those couples I was more than excited to shoot last year. It was such a fun wedding as the pictures will reveal. It was Awesome. It was such an honor for me to serve them having known them for some years prior to their wedding. We wish them a marriage that is filled with joy, happiness, and many blessings.

The Lost Portraits of Buganda Kingdom

August 31, 2016  •  Leave a Comment

Just wanted to share one of the most exciting projects I've ever been involved with. Recently a caretaker of the lost portraits of Buganda, presented to me pictures of the Kingdom. These were saved 50 plus years ago when the Kingdom of Buganda Palace( Bulange), was destroyed by fire. The king, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi, had never seen and did not even know that the pictures existed. These were pictures of His family during his childhood and early years before his family went into exile. The late King of Buganda Sir Edward Muteesa II and his family left in a hurry leaving behind all belonging during the early sixties. Most of the items that were salvaged from that time were kept in a house that was later looted after the war of 1979. So these portraits are some of the pictures that have never been shared in public nor seen by this generation. Due to the harsh treatment these pictures had been through, these treasures were in bad shape and needed to be restored. It's my honor to have the privilege of sharing this masterpiece with you before and after it was restored.

This is an original portrait of King Ronald mutebi's Mother, Kabejja Sarah Kisosonkole, in London. It was taken by a renown British Photographer Sir Armstrong Jones (Lord Snowdon), who was also married to  Princess Margaret.
